To the letter writer who stopped his contributions to NPR because of supposed bias, I ironically started my contribution to NPR in light of the funding halt. I listen to NPR. It covers stories from all 50 states and the world, including Congress and the president. It covers what President Donald Trump says, and it reports that most of which he alleges is not based on facts and is unsubstantiated and outright lies. NPR reports the good and bad. It reports on the effects of the cuts to programs, the departments and the layoffs. You don’t know how many times I hear the NPR announcer state that, "We reached out to (fill in the blank) for a response but have not heard back." Is this “leftist” or simply reporting the news? MAGA, of course, would rather not have it reported at all.
I challenge the letter writer, along with Congress and our two subservient senators, to offer one, just one, sliver of evidence of NPR’s left-leaning reporting. Funny how the debate in Congress to defund NPR failed to provide any evidence of unfair reporting. NPR reports on what it sees. MAGA doesn’t like those reports. So let’s silence them just like it silences the colleges, the schools, medical treatments for those not like them, the environmental agencies, just to name a few examples. Keep NPR.
