Former Lloyds Banking Online Security Chief Admits to £2.5 Million Fraud

Ex-Lloyds online security banking chief Jessica Harper admitted to a single charge of abuse of position in submitting false invoices to claim payments totaling £2,463,750, and the fraud came to light as part of an internal investigation from within the bank. From what’s revealed by Lloyd’s the thefts took place over a four year period from December 2007 to December 21 last year.

She will pay off some of the stolen cash by selling her £700,000 home and she has already cashed in her pension and bank shares she owned.

Story is HERE.

I guess the moral of the story is that if you steal from the banks, even if you worked for them, you get prosecuted, and quickly. Moreover, you have to pay the piper. However, be a bank and steal from the people, you get fined and “investigated”, which means you get your bank CEO ass kissed by a Congressman on C-Span while getting asked a softball question.
