RBS/Natwest Bank Customers Once Again Complain of Payment Glitches

Another “IT problem” has hit RBS group’s Natwest banks, as customers throughout the United Kingdom can’t access their accounts and are having their cards rejected at merchants yet again. The latest glitch also comes on the same day that bank customers have discovered that payments made Tuesday were debited Wednesday, meaning many customers were left overdrawn on their accounts. Further, many NatWest customers report embarrassment at stores and restaurants throughout the nation as their cards get declined.

“I just went to the Post Office to get my holiday cash out as we’re about to go away,” said one customer, Jackie Maguire. “I tried to get £500 worth of euros but my NatWest card was declined twice. I rung the bank and they said they couldn’t deal with it at the moment as they were having problems and I would need to ring back in an hour.”

Others complain of paychecks bouncing and lack of online bank account access. Customers are incredibly frustrated, and thus far, Natwest only replied via its Twitter feed @Natwest_Help:

“Some customers may have issues with their online banking and using their debit cards at the moment. Working as hard as we can to resolve. We’ll post updates as soon as we have more information.”

Story is HERE.

Consider this a warning shot about our money system – a lot of our monopoly money is on a computer screen, and if there’s a bank run or a financial collapse, could you actually get your money? Moreover, assuming there is complete financial collapse of the Rothschild/Rockefeller banking system, would the cash be even worth anything anyway?

The last thing the Royal Bank of Scotland or any bank needs is more attention in the middle of huge scandal, and I’m starting to wonder if “IT problems” are something else, it just seems too odd of a news item to be popping up like this, especially in this environment.

Hopefully, more citizens will move their money out of the megabanks and banks that have close ties to the government and help starve the beast while protecting their cash by moving the funds to institutions like municipal credit unions. For those of you that can, please save quarters, dimes and nickels dated before 1964, those are silver, and will probably be very helpful when this whole money system comes tumbling down.
