Similar to Turkey, what turned out to be just a protest over rising costs of public transportation is turning into clashes over the legitimacy of the current president.

From Liberty Blitzkrieg Blog:

A political earthquake has started to grumble underneath the streets of Brazil. Last week, there was considerable violence in Sao Paulo, where as many as 100 protesters were injured including several journalists during demonstrations against a bus fare hike. As is typical in cases of sudden bursts of widespread activism, it’s difficult to know in advance what event will catalyze a population already fed up with grievances. In the case of Turkey, it was an announcement to raze a park and build a mall. In Brazil, it is a hike in public transportation costs in a nation already frustrated with high inflation and rampant political corruption.

Today will be a very important test-case to see whether or not the unrest will escalate. While it appears the “authorities” are expected to exercise restraint during what may be as many as 20,000 protesters in Sao Paulo today, these situations are inherently volatile. It is particularly intense in Brazil after spectators at a soccer game this past weekend humiliated President Dilma Rousseff by booing him for more than a minute. From Bloomberg:

As many as 20,000 Brazilians are expected to march in Sao Paulo today in what organizers vow will be the biggest yet in a wave of protests to rock Latin America’s largest economy in little more than a week.

Authorities are pledging to keep riot police at bay to avoid a repeat of clashes June 13 that left dozens wounded when rubber bullets and tear gas were fired upon activists protesting an increase in bus fares.

The demonstrations have grown larger and spread across the country as discontent about inflation and the economy mount, fueling dissatisfaction with President Dilma Rousseff.

“An alarm has sounded,” Alexandre Barros, head of Brasilia-based political risk consulting firm Early Warning. “The average Brazilian doesn’t know what the government should do, but they feel their pockets being pinched.”

Soccer fans booed Rousseff for more than a minute as she was introduced in Brasilia at the June 15 opening of the two-week tournament, a warm-up to next year’s World Cup. The heckling intensified when Sepp Blatter, president of soccer’s governing body FIFA, admonished the crowd for not showing “respect.” A stern-faced Rousseff then cut short the moment with a single sentence declaring a start to the tournament.

The demonstrations in major Brazilian cities were started by a student group called the Free Fare Movement, which has advocated an end to bus fares since 2005. The marches have grown after television broadcasts of police battling activists and have since evolved into a catch-all for groups and individuals protesting everything from corruption and income inequality to environmental concerns and urban violence.

This is what happens when institutions hit peak corruption. Every country on earth is suffering from the same disease and the protests/unrest will only increase globally until a entirely new political and economic dynamic replaces the rotting carcass of the current one.

Full article here.

The USSA has its serfs bribed with food stamps and benefits for now, but the policies of banker parasites are obviously being felt worldwide, and the people are taking to the streets, because they are running out of choices in this neo feudal age. Expect to see more demonstrations and protest in the coming weeks from more places, and it won’t be a particular surprise because monetary policy designed to “keep markets safe” are little else but elaborate dog and pony shows to keep bankrupt crime syndicate banks profitable and the bonuses to their sociopath executives rolling in.

The tipping point is looming closer and closer by the day, and the most important thing to keep in mind is what the psychopaths wish for us to do to each other in the event of a societal and economic collapse; nut jobs want us to kill and destroy each other while we fight for survival, and the so called elite wait in the background, ready for their concocted solution. However, many have grown wise to the ways of the criminal globalist, and instead of a repeat of bullshit history, we are actually set up to prevent a calamitous breakdown in society. This is why it is more important than ever to keep focused and to stick to what’s true and decent – remember that the Renaissance arose from the ashes of the Black Plague, and wonderful things can happen when things look the most bleak.

In a rather amazing display of the implications of just one whistleblower, the internet is ablaze over Edward Snowden, who has made the alternative media question whether he’s a plant or the genuine article, and who has also made the psychopath security state we call government scramble and play damage control. Now, the NSA and its goon squad lackeys are “disclosing” some news – apparently, all that freedom you lost has foiled several terrorist plots <del>that the FBI was cooking up</del>, including one on the New York subway. Maybe they can “protect us” from another 9/11 . . . oh, wait.

From Zerohedge:

To think it only took the world’s most (in)famous whistleblower to get the NSA to disclose that it had heroically managed to prevent terrorist attacks involving the New York Stock Exchange (we supposed they refer to the Manhattan-based TV studio and not the actual exchange where the servers are now housed in Mahwah, NJ) and the NY Subway. Because whereas there was a time in the past when the various US secret services would scurry at the opportunity to disclose their expertise to the general public, now it is a false negative that is supposed to disprove a positive (pervasive spying on the US population is good for you because…). Of course it takes one non-false positive to disprove a false negative, namely the Boston Bombers, who as far as we recall, used cell phones to communicate. But so much for details: now please praise the NSA, and also comply with the Administration’s push to rescind the second amendment. Or is Obama no longer pushing for “arms control”?

From NBC:

National Security Agency surveillance programs helped disrupt plots to bomb the New York Stock Exchange and the New York subway system, an FBI official told Congress on Tuesday.

The official, Deputy Director Sean Joyce, said that the programs also linked an American citizen in Chicago to the 2008 terror attacks on hotels in India and to a plot to bomb the offices of a Danish newspaper that published a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad.

Gen. Keith Alexander, the NSA director, told the committee that the programs had helped stop more than 50 “potential terrorist events” since the Sept. 11 attacks. He said he would provide classified details of all of them to the committee Wednesday.

“I would much rather be here today debating this point than trying to explain how we failed to prevent another 9/11,” Alexander said.
Joyce gave limited details on the foiled plots. In the stock exchange plot, he said, the NSA monitored an extremist in Yemen who was in contact with an operative in the United States.

In the subway plot, he said, the NSA intercepted an email from a terrorist in Pakistan in 2009 who was talking with someone in the United States about perfecting a recipe for explosives. He said that person turned out to be Najibullah Zazi, who later pleaded guilty in the plot and is in federal prison.

Whether or not this plot was actually foiled remains to be seen, and with government lying every step of the way on this scandal, it is difficult to stomach, because the political types are emerging with their elaborate explanations and their bullshit stories. Of course, the true cost of all this spying is never disclosed – our freedom. Despite all the maneuvering and the hype pushed by the mainstream media and their colleague stooges in big crime government, the revelations of Edward Snowden has undoubtedly cast a huge ripple effect, as we see with the latest poll numbers and a huge wavering of support for Barack Hussein Soetero, especially among youth.

We are reaching a crossroads in larger society, and no longer is the conspiracy theorist considered just an isolated nut job, but as a truth teller and a truth seeker. What the “tinfoil hatter” has been saying for years is now mainstream news, and it is seriously damaging the credibility of the elite and their various tentacled arms.

As for whether or not Edward Snowden is the genuine article or the real deal, I say look at the man’s fruits – he is basically outing a corrupt system unashamedly and is getting mainstream attention and treatment, something that we in the alternative news community desperately wanted. Further, political and bureaucratic hacks are scrambling for cover as just disclosed in the article above.

Change is coming and it is here, and that will be the new order of the day. In the mean time, always focus inside yourself and become the change you are seeking.

It really is amazing what one whistleblower and one story can do, and the aftershocks of Edward Snowden’s NSA spy leak has now reverberated to Russia, where it is learned that the UK and the US have spied on Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. Of course, this is all for our safety and protection, but then there’s this thing called diplomacy and actually appearing like a sane state – once again, the USSA has tipped their hand to show how ridiculously fascist they’ve become.

From RT:

As Britain readies to host the G8 summit, the documents uncovered by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden have revealed that back in 2009 US spies intercepted top-secret communications of then Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev, during his visit to London.

The Guardian, which has seen the documents, also revealed that UK intelligence agency GCHQ monitored foreign politicians and intercepted their emails during the 2009 G20 summit held in the British capital, which was attended by Medvedev. Some delegates were tricked into using internet cafes which had been set up by UK intelligence agencies to read their email traffic.

This comes as the 39th G8 summit is scheduled to start on Monday in the small Northern Irish resort town of Lough Erne with all the nations who were present at the 2009 London meeting attending.

According to the leaked documents viewed by the British paper, the details of the intercept of Medvedev’s communications were set out in a briefing prepared by the US National Security Agency (NSA), and shared with high-ranking officials from Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. The document entitled “Russian Leadership Communications in support of President Dmitry Medvedev at the G20 summit in London – Intercept at Menwith Hill station” was drafted in August 2009, four months after the Russian president attended the London G20 summit.

The NSA paper says: “This is an analysis of signal activity in support of President Dmitry Medvedev’s visit to London. The report details a change in the way Russian leadership signals have been normally transmitted. The signal activity was found to be emanating from the Russian embassy in London and the communications are believed to be in support of the Russian president.”

The interception of Medvedev’s communications by the US intelligence service came hours after his first meeting with the US President Barack Obama where they struck a warm tone and promised a “fresh start” in US-Russia relations.

The latest revelations will be a major embarrassment for Washington, as Obama is set to meet with the incumbent Russian President Vladimir Putin during the G8 summit in Northern Ireland and discuss such tough issues as the Syrian conflict.

In the wake of the scandalous leak of NSA documents, US officials have been defending massive surveillance tactics stressing that they were crucial in the fight against terrorism. However, the recent revelations about the actions of the NSA and Britain’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) suggests this was simply a case of espionage.

The information obtained by the GCHQ analysts was being rapidly passed on to the British representatives in the G20 meetings, giving them a negotiating advantage. “In a live situation such as this, intelligence received may be used to influence events on the ground taking place just minutes or hours later. This means that it is not sufficient to mine call records afterwards – real-time tip-off is essential,” read one of the leaked documents.

During the London summit, GCHQ used what one document described as “ground-breaking intelligence capabilities” to intercept the communications of the foreign delegations. The spy agency set up internet cafes where they used an email interception program and key-logging software to monitor delegates’ use of computers. The security of delegates’ BlackBerrys had been penetrated to enable GCHQ see their messages and phone calls.

According to the report the surveillance operation was ordered at a senior level in the government of the then prime minister, Gordon Brown, and appears to have run for at least six months before and after the world leaders gathered in London on April 2.

One document reveals that when G20 finance ministers met in London in September 2009, British intelligence again spied on the delegates, including Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek and possibly 15 other members of his team.

Referring to the NSA spying on the Russian president at that summit, RT contributor Afshin Rattansi says Britain has served as a surveillance platform for the US for decades. “For many years the British people realized that the National Security Agency was basically using the United Kingdom. And the largest spying outfit of the United States is here in Britain,” he said.

“Perhaps the British people will realize that they are living in a state where their media and all institutions surrounding them, all industrial aspects of the civic society are under a kind of surveillance state that is not being covered in the news.”

The 2009 summit came at a critical moment when the crisis in Western capitalism hit its peak, Rattansi notes. “These kind of revelations show that when governments such as Britain and the United States come close to worrying, they will use this to try and persuade different officials at different governments to sway them.”

Of course, who knows how much more undoubtedly went on behind the scenes, and I’m sure that there’s more than a little verbal jousting between Russia and Amerika, especially in light of the continual war card being played by NATO and the USSA. Hey, in the game of government and politics, it’s likely that all politicians are merely acting and pushing some hidden agenda detrimental to the population at large, but at least Russia is willing at times to discuss actual issues and news, in sharp contrast to the daily propaganda spewed forth here.

There is likely much more going on behind this story outside of an eavesdropping leak, but as to what exactly remains to be seen – I suspect that Russia is trying to deescalate tension in Syria, and by releasing data they already know about concerning the spy obsessed nannycrat USSA and its “special ally” of the United Con Artist Kingdom, perhaps the play here is to look for ways to undermine the respective warmongering governments by assaulting their legitimacy.

What is known that it is now accepted fact that the “democracies” of the West actively participate in spying on all levels and has an agenda that is of course never revealed, as it’s for your “safety and security”. As to where this rabbit hole leads, who knows, perhaps it leads to nowhere, or perhaps it leads to more leaks – this time the “whistleblower” is Russia, and who else could be next as the house of cards look ever more wobbly?

What has turned into a protest about bulldozing a park has now become a rallying cry for Turkish citizens throughout. In reaction, the response by police has also escalated, with tear gas and water cannon the norm during these protests.

From Zerohedge:

Two weeks after the break out of protests in Turkey, often times violent, the local discontent is nowhere closer to resolution. In fact, it is getting worse, and is on its way to converge with the “resolutions” adopted in its neighbor Greece following news that two Turkish union federations said on Sunday they would stage a one-day nationwide strike on Monday in protest at the forced eviction by riot police of hundreds of anti-government demonstrators from an Istanbul park. From Reuters: “The Confederation of Public Workers’ Unions (KESK), which has some 240,000 members in 11 unions, and the Confederation of Revolutionary Trade Unions (DISK) announced the strike in a joint statement. Three other groups representing doctors, engineers and dentists will also join the action, it said.”

And so “the economy gets it” until the politicians respond to the protestors in a satisfactory fashion, which may be a problem, because just like in the “Occupy XXX” movement in the US, nobody is exactly sure just what the demands are.

Regardless, the local protests, now accompanied daily by high pressure water cannon and constant tear gas make for some spectacular stills, such as the following series of photos over the weekend from Istanbul and Ankara.

Protests and discontent has spread throughout the Middle East, Europe, and to a limited extent, in the United States. This unhappiness with the system reflects the larger human consciousness that they’ve had enough of psychopaths and sociopaths from continually controlling things from the top of their pyramid, and it’s fascinating to see the situation in Turkey continue unabated – similar to the protests in places like Portugal and Spain, this has invariably brought us closer to the tipping point, but as to when that moment arrives is anyone’s guess.

In further signs that the Amerikan debt slaves aren’t going to just sit down and take it, the latest poll numbers indicate that NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has quite the approval rating – in fact, his numbers are higher than that of the current fascist CEO in chief, Barry “Obama” Soetero.

From Liberty Blitzkrieg Blog:

The results are in and they are devastating for the establishment. There’s no spinning these poll result numbers. Americans rightly have almost no faith in their institutions of power and the cronies that are somehow in charge of them. Nor should they. The spilt in opinion on Snowden also exhibits a massive gulf between the older generation and the younger. This is very encouraging as time itself will sort this out. First from Time:

Fifty-four percent of respondents said the leaker, Edward Snowden, 29, did a “good thing” in releasing information about the government programs, which collect phone, email, and Internet search records in an effort, officials say, to prevent terrorist attacks. Just 30 percent disagreed.

But an almost identical number of Americans — 53 percent — still said he should be prosecuted for the leak, compared to 28% who said he should not. Americans aged 18 to 34 break from older generations in showing far more support for Snowden’s actions. Just 41 percent of that cohort say he should face charges, while 43 percent say he should not. Just 19 percent of that age group say the leak was a “bad thing.”

Now the latest from Gallup regarding Obama:

In a land of sociopath encouraging reality shows and where people vote on their next pop music star, it goes to show how important popularity is in society, at least to some extent – even the GMO munching and blindstream media consumers of the sheeple believe Edward Snowden to be a patriot and a decent human being as opposed to some fugitive which must be extradited as the CONgress would want you to believe.

The time and people are ripe to learn and grasp the truth behind the curtain. People are ready, willing and able to wake up now more than ever. Let’s hope that more whistleblowers have the courage to step forward, inspired by the actions of Mr. Snowden. I suspect they will, because we are in the midst of constantly unraveling scandal throughout the entire power structure, and I suspect that it is in large part caused by whistleblowers who have had enough of just following orders and just earning a paycheck.
