Spineless Prosecutor News: First Libor Arrests to Emerge

In spineless prosecutor and regulator news, the UK’s Serious Fraud Office (“SFO”) is ready to make its first arrests for the Libor crime syndicate that has long been dubbed a scandal by propaganda blindstream media, according to new reports. Thus far, it appears the first targets will be traders at UBS and the Royal Bank of Scotland, because obviously, those are the big wigs you want to go after first for banks stealing untold billions for years, and which involved trillions of dollars weekly.

As Zerohedge notes, “Note the word “traders” – not CEOs, not COOs, not General Counsels, not Managers, not Supervisors… Traders” the blog writes. “Because remember: it was a scheming 28-year old Frenchman that was the mastermind behind Goldman’s CDO fraud for years. Nobody else. Just him. That said, we are looking forward to the latest minimum prison reality TV show: “How Many Cigarettes* For A Bollinger?” it says.

As an attorney, I must also note that this choice is ludicrous as well – this is the equivalent of having uncovered a massive mob network where the identities are known of all the bosses and where serious crimes have been committed and gone unpunished for who knows how long. Despite the mountains of evidence ready to damn them all, the targets of prosecutors are not the mob bosses, the mid level bosses or the corrupt police looking the other way, but a few street bookies and extortionists.

I suppose the spineless prosecutors and regulators want to give the big wigs some more time to destroy evidence while the low level trader lackeys on the floor take the heat in one of the better case scenarios, but again, if this was a serious attempt at justice I would expect some executives and some veterans at numerous banks being targeted, otherwise it is just smells like the beginnings of a kangaroo court trial.

What’s truly sad is that when one reads the source article, there are marks of kleptocracy everywhere – for the world’s largest crime syndicate, the SFO was given a little under $5 million to investigate an army of banks with deep pockets and armies of white shoe lawyers, accountants and “professionals” ready to defend them for the purposes of trial.

This is what you call preparing to fail, and the crooks at the helm should be ashamed of themselves. Since this is multi jurisdictional and covers numerous countries, I suppose the bureaucrats will play pass the buck, make excuses and talk about how difficult and complicated the situation is, and that it’s always someone else’s job to actually do something.

This can change if the individual decides to say “enough is enough!”. The citizenry needs to say that this farce of justice is exactly what it is, and the spineless prosecutors and blindstream journalists have to say the same. It is that simple and that’s how things do change. If a few people are worried about losing their careers and livelihoods then that’s the exact reason why all this criminality occurs in the first place – if a whole agency all of a sudden gets fired for whistleblowing, do you think the stooge bureaucratic heads of these farce agency’s have any cover left for themselves?

It’s time to do the right thing, this is one of the most blatant injustices staring us in the face and what we get are a few announcements of traders getting arrested? Absolutely ludicrous.

Happy Illusion of Choice Day

Gee, shall I pick the candidate that’s pro war, or choose the other candidate that is also for war? Hrm, shall I choose the candidate bankrolled by the banksters in their political campaigns or choose the other candidate funded by the same financial institutions? Shall I choose the candidate that supports mega corporations, the military industrial complex, big pharma and corporate interests or the other guy that supports the same thing? While the Federal Reserve runs our money system via its debt slavery program called fiat currency, issuing money as debt to the US government, neither candidate will discuss ending the Federal Reserve, and are just fighting over a few side issues to appeal to their respective bases, ignoring the real issues causing the economic and social decay in our society. (For an example of a list of Obamney’s similarities, go HERE for instance).

In summarizing the presidential debates, the Daily Reckoning points out the farce that is the presidential election via quoting YouTube comments of the dog and pony show:

A smattering of comments from below a YouTube post of the debate summed up the overall impact of the gabfest rather well:

“Is this American idol?” wondered one commenter.

“Two demons spouting different lies at each other. Sweet,” observed another.

A third, “You are being crooked America, they are crooking you.”

And, in reference to the Nobel Peace Prize winning candidate’s ongoing and ever expanding dehumanization of war:

“Where is a drone when you need one…”

Not exactly the unbridled, chest-thumping enthusiasm one would ordinarily expect from the main event at the greatest political circus in town. Still, we can hardly blame an apathetic votership for failing to fall for the feigned pleas and ploys of the political/mobster class. On the contrary. We applaud their mockery of a process H.L. Menken once wryly referred to as an “advanced auction on stolen goods.”

One must honestly ask themselves if either politician can lead the United States out of the morass of endless war, endless debt, corrupt bankers, corrupt megacorporations, political graft, corrupt politics and the festering cancer within the once great Republic. Deep inside, unless you are a die hard Obama or Romney supporter (which I suspect are quite the minority percentage wise), I think the average voter, if they actually reflected would answer no, but the propaganda media and the bought pundits keep pushing their mind drugs, keeping the majority in an endless stupor.

I of course will no longer empower this system and refuse to vote. Some may say that I may be getting what I’m deserving by not voting, but the problem is I know exactly what I’m getting and I’m not voting for this:

Congratulations to whichever bought stooge wins today, as they attempt to lead us down the path of insanity, endless war and restrictions of our freedom. I will not be on this path and refuse to join it. Always remember, if we change within ourselves and we realize that these crooks have no power, these important sounding people are nothing but criminals in suits who are just spewing garbage from their mouths. That is the undeniable truth, and the sooner we realize that our power is being given away, the better everything becomes for all sovereign human beings.

HSBC Faces Money Laundering Charges: Will There Be Actual Convictions?

So it appears that HSBC is in trouble once again, but for those following the blindstream media this is probably startling news, all thanks to the scam elections for president of the Corporate States of America and headlines about what celebrities do in their spare time on Tuesdays. I often wondered, at what point do the banks get in trouble for the numerous crimes they’ve committed? Well, apparently we got our answer with HSBC, as I guess the rule is fifteen three strikes and you’re out.

First, we have HSBC admitting to money laundering and supplying funds to Mexican drug cartels while testifying in front of our bought Senate earlier this summer, where the executive compliance officer resigned because the actions of the megabank were so blatant that not even the bankster in charge of things could sweep it under the rug. Second, we have HSBC involved in gold and silver manipulation and price fixing, aka stealing and fraud but still, no news emerged apart from a whistleblower emerging to alert everyone of this crime. Third, we have HSBC “mis-selling” payment protection insurance to customers. and of course consumers had no idea of what they were buying -  this is what we call fraud in the serf kingdom of law and order we live in but in the world of megabanks, it’s “mis-selling” of insurance.

Correction. Maybe four strikes and you’re out, at least when you’re a bank, as new headlines have emerged involving the megabank and money laundering, but this time to funneling money to Iran, and not drug cartels and crime syndicates.

Now, HSBC is saying that it’s “likely” that it will face criminal charges based on government anti-money laundering probes into its activities. The crime? Supporting our enemies the “terrorists”, as they did the misdeed of funneling money to places like Iran, which is a no no in this distorted world of trying to lead us into World War 3. Moreover, for committing such offenses to the military industrial complex and their war efforts, HSBC has admitted that the monetary cost of settlement may “significantly” exceed the $1.5 billion the bank set aside to pay its bribe, er, settlement costs to the US government.

“The final amount of the financial penalties could be higher, possibly significantly higher,”HSBC said in a statement today. “The resolution of at least some of these matters is likely to involve the filing of corporate criminal as well as civil charges” said the bank.

Though this appears to be good news, I remain highly skeptical due to the continued looking the other way by bought politicians and spineless prosecutors and regulators and their failure to bring any charges over the much larger crime of Libor interest rate fixing. We’re getting talk of criminal charges because of money laundering to Iran? Is that what it takes? Fund the sociopath target of Iran and that’s when you see any semblance of justice? Further, even if charges are brought forth, who will take the fall for the bank? Will it be yet another sacrificial lamb, “rogue trader” or “rogue banker” or small group of them, responsible for every act of wrongdoing?

Even if they get convicted, will they get “Club Fed” sentencing like ex-Goldman Sachs’ directors, getting a couple of years for ridiculously massive crimes? This isn’t about being negative, it’s about realizing that the system is so bought and rigged, and these questions continually do not get asked by our supposed media, the group that I thought was to expose things like corruption and wrongdoing.

So if the blogs and the citizen journalists have to raise these questions, then so be it.

Berlusconi Gets 4 Years, Plus More Spineless Justice System News

Having had numerous criminal investigations and trials  ending in acquittal or having been thrown out due to lapse of the statute of limitations, an Italian court has finally got their hands on “Bunga Bunga” ex-Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi for tax fraud, sentencing him to a paltry four years in prison. Moreover, Berlusconi won’t serve his sentence because the verdicts aren’t final until two levels of appeal are passed, and of course, Bunga Bunga Berlusconi is expected to appeal.

In more “just us” system news, 9 more banks have been subpoenaed by the Attorney Generals of New York and Connecticut over the largest crime syndicate known to man, the Libor rate manipulation, however, there’s a catch:

The probe, a joint effort by the offices of New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen, could lead to civil enforcement action related to breaches of antitrust and fraud laws.

The subpoenas, which were issued in August and September but haven’t been previously reported, bring the total number of subpoenas in the case to 16. The banks involved in the probe include most members of the panel that helps set the dollar London interbank offered rate.

The investigation by the state prosecutors is part of a global probe, in which more than a dozen federal and other regulators across three continents are looking into allegations that several banks rigged Libor.

The nine banks that received subpoenas in August and September were: Bank of America Corp., Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Credit Suisse Group AG, Lloyds Banking Group PLC, Rabobank Groep NV, Royal Bank of Canada, Société Générale, Norinchukin Bank and West LB AG, according to the person familiar with the investigation.

The person confirmed that seven other banks had received subpoenas in the investigation. Information about those subpoenas were made public previously.

In more wrist slapping news, Bank of America faces further heat, as the bankster punishment has now elevated from three finger wrist slap to four with added dunce hat, as spineless prosecutors continue their CIVIL suit against the megabank for defrauding taxpayers more than $1 billion – employees and ex-employees may now face CIVIL fraud charges as part of the federal lawsuit against the company.

That’s right, the obvious elephants in the room are blatantly ignored.  This isn’t a criminal case because, you know, lying knowingly and defrauding countless numbers of people to make a quick buck is uh, civil in nature and the executives, managers and the big wigs have nothing to do with this fraud, but what do you expect from the Corporate States of America.

Potentially, the government may amend its complaint to include individuals, present or former employees of Bank of America,” said Assistant Spineless Prosecutor US Attorney Perre Armand, with the judge asking prosecutors to amend their complaint by year’s end should that be the case.

In response, Brenda Sullivan, a lawyer for the megabank said “fascinating issues arise here” and the complaint was “not like anything we have seen before.”

This is my response:

Chairsatan Bernanke says Nothing New While Bankster Wrist Slapping Continues

Speaking in technocrat and saying absolutely nothing new, Chairsatan Bernanke of the Federal Reserve said that the Fed will keep sticking to its plan to bankrupt stimulate the US economy until the job market improves, vowing to keep interest rates near zero til at least mid 2015, punishing savers and retirees and promoting degenerate gambling and asset misallocation by banksters in the form of market trading and easy credit.

“The Committee remains concerned that, without sufficient policy accommodation, economic growth might not be strong enough to generate sustained improvement in labor market conditions,” said the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee. In other words, things suck, and the only thing we’re gonna do is print, print, print and kick the can down the road with technocrat verbiage until you go away.

In spineless prosecutor and regulator news, the US Justice Department took a break from providing guns to Mexican drug cartels today to start a CIVIL fraud suit against Bank of America, accusing the megabank of selling thousands of toxic home loans to semi government arms Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that resulted in more than $1 billion in losses.

“The fraudulent conduct alleged in today’s complaint was spectacularly brazen in scope,” U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, who is more concerned about going after local restaurants than arresting or prosecuting banksters said in a statement. “This lawsuit should send another clear message that reckless lending practices will not be tolerated”, said the champion of the status quo and destroyer of the little guy.

That’s one clear message alright, spineless prosecutor of New York’s Southern District: you’re saying that if banksters steal billions and have whistleblowers coming forward about fraud, then the kleptocrats get a wrist slap.

Keep up the good work grabbing the occasional sacrificial lamb while the Blankfeins and Dimons of the world get away with stealing untold billions, while ex US Attorneys join top notch law firms making some sweet cash. Hey, it’s the American just us, er, justice system!

All the News That’s Fit to Hide in the Basement

“Analysis: Obama landed more punches” writes the Cartoon News Network (“CNN”), as they discuss which warmonger was better at stepping up war talk while drones kill innocent civilians, soldiers guard opium fields in Afghanistan, US money is sent to support terrorists in Syria as well as in Libya, resources are pillaged and returning combat soldiers are mistreated or repeatedly sent back to the front lines, destroying their minds and lives in the process. However, splattered on the front page of its website, since I don’t want to be subject to banging my head repeatedly against the wall from actually watching the teevee for longer than 3 minutes and actually tuning into CNN, the propaganda news network writes garbage and sells it to the public while reality is being constantly whitewashed and ignored or left to the back of the back pages:

“Long before the candidates set foot on stage in Florida, President Barack Obama headed into the final debate of the 2012 campaign with the biggest advantage of all: he’s already commander-in-chief” disinfo news network writes. “The foreign policy face-off on Monday was devoted to a subject on which presidents can speak about decision-making in the first person and challengers can’t” it says.

Comically enough, the Cartoon News Network even admits that there’s no difference between the warmongers as it has a separate headline entitled “Romney Endorses Obama’s National Security Policies”, which goes to show how insignificant this election really is.

In another laughable attempt to appear balanced, the blindstream media outlet asks readers, “What Questions Were Not Answered in the Debate?“, as a few reader questions are highlighted which mostly has to do with war and more war:

Mithila Saraf was one of many who suggested that Iran’s nuclear program should be the key U.S. concern.

“Between America’s commitments to Israel and the escalating tensions between Iran and several of its neighbors, America’s action (or inaction) in this matter will be vital to how the situation unfolds,” Saraf said. “So far, the Obama administration has held a firm verbal stance, but there has been little inclination towards physical force. Several Republicans have expressed…that they would want to change that.”

Some readers, meanwhile, were more succinct, but no less emphatic about what they wanted Obama and Romney to talk about. Rotney O’Shea, for example, simply noted:

“Global warming. Iran. Global inequality. Why we are still in Afghanistan? What are we going to do about Syria?”

There you have it, the only mention of not having war is in Afghanistan, but discusses the big bad threat of Iran who has of course, not attacked anyone, nor has attacked anyone for as long as I’ve been alive (I’m old), but of course, the United States, which has attacked anything that moves needs to be concerned!

“It’s easy for presidential candidates to pose with veterans and promise to take care of those who fought for our country. But in the first two debates, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have mentioned veterans only twice” an opinion piece of the Fresno Bee states. “Whoever wins the White House can’t ignore the nearly 22 million veterans, including 2 million in California. The candidates have an opportunity in Monday’s final debate, focused on foreign policy, to lay out their agendas for veterans”.

Not only are we ignoring our veterans, we’re ignoring our combat deaths because we’re letting sociopaths direct the conversation, ignoring the countless thousands of civilians killed in Iraq, ignoring all the greedy and insane interests profiting off the business of war, ignoring our constitution in the name of war and security, ignoring our funding of terrorists and suicide bombers and we’re ignoring the solution to all of this nonsense:

Stop the wars.

Corzine Says MF to Pension Funds and Other News

In more absurd blindstream media news, the huge criminal “Honorable” Jon Corzine and his yes-men lawyers, along with the fraudulent financial institutions, JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs are attempting to dismiss lawsuits filed by retirement funds and investors against them, claiming that claims against them make “no sense” and therefore, the cases should be thrown out of court.

The Plaintiffs, led by Virginia’s retirement system and the province of Alberta, Canada are claiming that Corzine and the banks misrepresented the risks, “. . . . inflating its ability to manage risk, obscuring risks from a big bet on European sovereign debt and improperly accounting for deferred tax assets.”

Of course, the lawyers for the man that mysteriously misplaced billions of dollars of customer funds and said so in front of the bought US Congress merely “ . . . mismanaged the company, was too optimistic, or failed to predict a liquidity squeeze prompted in part by credit rating downgrades” according to his paid mouthpiece attorneys. If that’s just mismanagement and results in a civil case and no criminal charges, then I guess that means people should begin wearing pants on their head, because that’s about how much sense this legal dog and pony show makes.

Meanwhile, the attempt to turn the US into the eurozone is apparently continuing, as Swiss banks are beginning to shut out Americans from its banking system, since the IRS needs your money to fund uh, whatever it funds, such as supplying guns to Mexican drug cartels sponsored by our ATF and non bankster prosecuting Justice Department, the cracking down of small family farms to protect us from non GMO food, pushing the agenda of big pharmaceuticals, installing worthless radiation machines at our airports, funding our genital groping TSA to protect us from Al Qaeda, the agency the CIA created and funded, provide billions in corporate welfare to companies who pay decreasing shares of taxes to the government and to pay for endless non stop wars and other very useful government programs that are necessary to further democracy and freedom all over the globe.
New IRS measures will eventually require that foreign banks report and identify their US clients and provide information on their accounts to tax authorities, with the penalty of failing to report JUST ONE CLIENT resulting in a possible penalty of 30 percent of a bank’s US income. Thus, Swiss banks are clamping down, kicking their US clients out, and having Americans renounce their US citizenship. However, the long arm of the kleptocrat is long, as apparently an exit tax may be required to be free of tax obligations.

There you have it, destroy wealth and have criminals like Corzine mismanage your money, isn’t America grand? The land of opportunity for banksters, stooge politicians, spineless regulators and prosecutors. Remember who gives these people their power, despite all their arrogance and disregard for the system they believe they own. We don’t have to be subject to such ridiculous behavior and outright criminality if we say enough is enough. This doesn’t mean shooting someone or causing them harm, it means not giving power to a bunch of wanna be feudal lords who are nothing but crooks in suits.
